Had an amazing meal in a classic Newport atmosphere at LaForge. It has been recently renovated and filled with charm. The hosts/bartenders/ and staff all are very pleasant and make you feel at home. As a bonus, there was a piano player there creating a warm vibe. This place ROCKS.
Stopped for a quick lunch on the way to the mansion and made friends with Buffie. We had so much fun with her we came back for cocktails after the mansions! Looking forward to seeing her again next summer!
One of the best dining experiences on Aquidneck Island! Their menu has something for everyone, the wine and cocktail selection is lovely, and the views for outdoor dining are unparalleled to anything else in Newport. During my most recent visit we tried the chips and avocado dip, berry and avocado salad, and Cobb salad - and of course some Prosecco! We sat out back near the greens. They also have a covered dining patio if you'd like to enjoy the nice weather but not be truly outside! Service is above average. Wait staff is professional, friendly, and attentive. Definitely recommend!
